Appeals Committee
This committee is responsible for reviewing or hearing all appeals of nonrenewals, layoffs, discipline and dismissals and grievances that are not resolved at a lower level. They forward their findings of fact with a recommendation to the chancellor or designee.
Area Review Committees
There are four area review committees: Humanities/Social Sciences, Biological/Medical Sciences, Physical Sciences/Engineering, and Administrative/Student Services/Library. Each committee reviews nominations for indefinite appointment status within its respective area.
Distinguished Prefix Review Committee
The Distinguished Prefix Review Committee is charged with reviewing nominations for the distinguished prefix. The distinguished prefix is a fourth step promotion that is not part of the normal progression for academic staff.
